Let Us Review The Bremont North Sea Supermarine 500 Men’s Replica

One of these Bremont men’s Replica is the North Sea SM500, a limited edition, which is by the way the first non-military special project from Bremont. The North Sea SM500 is variation of the Bremont Supermarine 500 that we reviewed a while ago. A stunning dive replica watch with impressive specifications!

The North Sea SM500 is exclusively for pre-authorised North Sea Diver personnel only. So there’s no change for us mere mortals to get our hands on one and besides that the North Sea SM500 is sold out already. Maybe the only chance will be the second hand market. The Bremont forum ALT1TUDE has its own sales corner, which is actually quite handy when you’re looking for a used Bremont.

Like already mentioned, the North Sea SM500 is based on the existing Bremont North Sea Supermarine 500 Replica Black, however there are some influences from the yet to be released SM2000. Yes indeed, Bremont will launch a Supermarine with a depth rating of 2000 meters! The influence I’m referring to is the red lettering on the dial, which will be on the SM2000 as well. Of course there will not be “North Sea” on the SM2000’s dial, but you get the idea, right?

Another detail that is different from the regular Supermarine 500 is the seconds hand. A red tip and luminescent dot are added, like on the more aviation inspired timepieces.

And there are more things changed compared to the regular S500. Like for instance the engraving on the case back. While the regular model features an engraved airplane, the North Sea features an engraved old diver’s helmet.

One of those things that hasn’t changed, the North Sea SM500 has, like the regular S500’s, great case detailing, anti-shock properties and killer lume! Check out my review of the regular Supermarine 500 if you haven’t read the very impressive specifications, like the extra hardened steel and patented anti-shock movement mount.

While the North Sea SM500 is already sold out, it might be a good idea to stay alert until the Supermarine 2000 will be launched. And if you’re impatient, the regular Supermarine 500 models are an absolute pleasure to wear and the scratch and bump-resistant hardened steel are good for any kind of (professional) hardship.

One last photo, kindly borrowed from the forum’s admin… PS. My compliments to the admin/photographer for the absolutely stunning photos!
